Hello, I am Alpha Ponce.  I offer my professional services in English and Spanish.  I have experience in assisting people with ongoing problems with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss,  DV, relationship difficulties, homesickness, addiction and relationship and couples therapy.  I have also assisted immigrants who are vulnerable as a result of migration.

My approach is to discover what your emotions or physical symptoms are trying to tell you, and how you can listen to them to get clarity in the answers that you need and the direction you wish.

I have a degree in Psychology in Mexico, and in Australia, I am a Psychotherapist and Emotion Focused relationship therapist (EFT). Also, I have a Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy, training in Emotion Focused Therapy for relations and in working with addiction and trauma.

I have an unique cultural perspective.  As an immigrant woman, I understandsthe many challenges that life presents as an immigrant. I have experiences of “othering”, exclusion and isolation that directly impact our mental health, confidence and sense of self-worth.
