Roz Casey, Special Education teacher & therapist
Bio and Qualifications:
Roz has degrees in education, adult education and special education. She has thirteen years of teaching all over Australia in many different educational environments. Roz also has further qualifications in counselling and case management. Her therapeutic work has been with adults and children in a wide variety of contexts. Roz currently works in primary schools in Melbourne, Victoria as a therapist. Roz was one of 27 play therapists worldwide to be invited to write a chapter on the role of super hero play and play therapy, which will be published in a book in 2019. She has also written other presentations on raising resilient young adults with Autism. Roz currently works as a sessional academic for two universities. Roz is about to embark on a research masters and PhD in health science/counselling, studying how play therapy can be used in primary schools for children who have been exposed to trauma.
