Bio and Qualifications:

Dr Peter Richard-Herbert is a Consultant Analytical Psychotherapist in private practice in Sydney and the Southern Highlands region of NSW, Australia. He received his training in Freudian Psychoanalysis and Analytical Psychotherapy at the National College of Psychotherapy in London. He received his Certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychology in London. He received his Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy in Sydney, Australia.

Peter Richard-Herbert received his Masters from the University of Western Sydney (UWS) in 2003. He completed his Doctorate with Central Queensland University in 2017, where he has incorporated Advanced Ego State Theory into his higher research degree.

Dr Peter Richard-Herbert completed his training as an Ego State Therapist with Professor Gordon Emmerson in Australia, with whom he is a founding member of and National President of the Australasian Ego State Therapy Association (AESTA). He is a trainer and supervisor in Ego State Therapy and Resource Therapy.

Dr Peter Richard-Herbert is a counsellor, psychological practitioner and FDRP mediator with over three decades of full-time practice resolving and moving through, people’s issues.

Richard-Herbert has published an Academic paper on Metaphoric Symbolised Imagery and several articles on Advanced Ego State Therapy, Hypnosis, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Ego State Analysis.
