Title: Introduction to Hypnosis and the Krasner Method Certification

Objective of Course / Workshop:

The key objective of this 3 day face-to-face certification training is to provide students with the theoretical and practical requirements to achieve Certification in the specific application of the Krasner Method of hypnosis. 

Knowledge includes:

  • Relevance of hypnosis – the theory
  • Language of hypnosis e.g. induction
  • Krasner Method of Hypnosis
  • Applications of the Krasner Method of Hypnosis
  • Hypnosis and risk management
  • Case studies

Practical skills include:

  • how to build rapport with you client
  • how to conduct a client interview for the purposes of hypnosis
  • how to construct hypnotic suggestions
  • how to successfully induce trance
  • supervised practical applications by students including feedback
  • Questions and Answers

 

 

Course / Workshop Outline:

On enrolment students will receive their pre-course learning materials (textbook). The course fee includes learning materials, pre-course interview, and membership of the Minds Tomorrow Roundtable – only available to Minds Tomorrow graduates.

Specific skills and knowledge are outlined in the break-up of the course. Every element of the course combines theory and supervised practical exercises that are designed to enable the student to apply their knowledge effectively and with confidence. 

All courses delivered by Minds Tomorrow are delivered by certified trainers and for courses/workshops/seminars for students under 18 years of age, we hold a Positive Exemption card due to one trainer who is a registered teacher in Queensland and has curriculum design and lecturing experience. 

The course is designed for flow of the learning experience and to build upon skills learned so that the student can apply appropriate techniques with confidence. 

On successful completion of this course, hypnosis practitioners can apply their knowledge and skills to enhance their current counselling practise.

2. What is hypnosis and how does it work?

  • Describe the origins of hypnosis
  • What is hypnosis
  • Comprehend the legal aspects of hypnosis today
  • Language and hypnosis
  • Describe what is trance and what are the levels of trance
  • What are the methods of hypnosis used primarily today
  • The unconscious mind and hypnosis
  • Key concepts used in hypnosis e.g. end result imagery, convincers
  • What is the Krasner Method
  • Applications of Krasner Method including: Glove Anaesthesia; Pain Control; Smoking Cessation; Weight Loss
  • What are metaphors

3. How does hypnosis work?

  • Learn how to use hypnotic voice and how to establish an appropriate environment for successful hypnosis
  • Explain hypnosis
  • Building rapport with your client
  • Use of hypnotic language
  • How to observe trance in your client
  • The interview process with your client
  • The purpose of suggestibility tests
  • How does a successful induction work
  • How are successful hypnotic suggestions designed

Learning experience is further facilitated through: pre-study; daily skill advancing tasks; open book assessment.

Experience:

Gina and Glen have been working in the area of coaching and training since the 1990s. Gina is also a Griffith University-Industry mentor – successfully mentoring students and assisting them in finding their next step. Glen is in his third year as a Master Trainer. The Master Trainer program takes training into the international arena and further advances the skills and knowledge of all areas of training. The Master Trainer program, due its intensity and rigour, is only available to small numbers of qualified trainers.

Both Gina and Glen enjoy working with their students, graduates and clients and their passion for helping others is reflected in all that they do.
