Objective of Course / Workshop:

This training is designed to qualify and grant Therapists a license to become an 'Eating Freely' Therapist.  The training provides attendees with both a comprehensive 12 session model to apply with clients struggling with Binge Eating Disorder and Bulimia, and an ongoing opportunity to be part of a network of Therapists supported by referrals, awareness raising and core business skills in developing a sucessful practice in a specialist area, which Binge Eating Disorder and Bulimia is.

The training comprehensively walks attendees through the Eating Freely 12 Session Model of working with adult clients with Binge Eating Disorder and Bulimia, see below.

We integrate experiential learning by asking participants to regularly work in pairs or groups through specific exercises they will use with clients and to practice their delivery of key elements of the program on a flipchart to each other (as they will with their clients);

 Our 12 Week Program includes 2 sessions on the theme of transformational change, and we include a comprehensive section in Day 3 where attendees experience and work through the 7 Step process as a group - this includes a deep guided visualisation and meditation exercise designed to facilitate 'letting go of what no longer works' and 'coming home to the truth of who you really are';

We use an element of art therapy for experiential and personal learning in Day 2 of the training which facilitates a deep connection with the experience of clients - using masks to portray our Outer and Inner Self (1 hour).

Throughout the training we include movement, Q&A, role play and working in pairs/groups, as well as at least one period of meditation each day, and one period of either reflection on or practical exercise of self-care each day.
