Objective of Course / Workshop:

The objective of this Training Program is to develop supervisory skills within a person-centred, Reflective framework. Using a person-centred and creative approach, this program supports supervisors to develop skills that will equip them to supervise practitioners across a range of different modalities and presenting issues. The program is strongly influenced by the latest research in neuroscience and underpinned by person-centred principles and a compassionate approach. Registered Supervisors can participate in any of the sessions to claim professional development points.


Course / Workshop Outline:

DAY SIX Creative Supervision employs metaphor, images, symbols and drawing for exploring client material and opening unconscious communication in the relationships between clients, practitioners and supervisors.

Participants will engage in professional conversations, experiential activities and role plays as we address the following topics:

Qualifications: Master of Counselling; B.Ed, ; Dip. Ed.; Graduate Diploma in Counselling Supervision; Cert IV Counselling Supervision

Jo Ablett and Cheryl Taylor have a solid foundation of supervisory training and experience gained over more than a decade of practice as Supervisors. They are both registered Supervisors with ACA, AAOS, ACSA and PACFA. For five years Cheryl and Jo have provided professional development for supervisors. Cheryl is currently employed as a lecturer and supervisor at Cairn Millar and Jo is a Senior Trainer for Expressive Therapies Institute of Australia.
