Registered Counsellor Justine Campbell
Justine applies the science of positive psychology as a coach, counsellor and mentor. She takes the research and turns it into practical applications to support flourishing in individuals and organisations in Asia. Her training as a certified Daring Way™ Facilitator is incorporated into her work at all levels. Justine adopts a solutions-focused and collaborative approach with clients to empower them to move proactively towards their goals. She “walks the talk” as a Practitioner applying her strengths and using optimism when it’s hardest in her own life and is passionate about doing the same for people that she comes into contact with. Whilst the principles of positive psychology underpin Justine’s approach in general, she also draws on evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solutions-Focused Coaching and Motivational Interviewing to support clients from a counselling and/or coaching perspective. Prior to her professional training as a Counsellor, Justine completed an MBA and worked in Marketing for numerous Fortune 500 companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region. She also draws upon her corporate background to increase wellbeing within organisations. Justine has an incredible love of learning which manifests itself not only in the various approaches that she synthesizes in her work, but in the fact that she that she decided to spend the majority of her life in a culture that is the opposite of the one she was born into. Again most people don’t expose themselves to something that foreign and if they do they usually go back home before they are changed from the inside. Justine didn’t go. She stayed and has incorporated the culture in her being. She is currently expanding her research into the application of Positive Psychology principles in China, drawing upon traditional Chinese values to support flourishing within communities. Justine is passionate about deepening her understanding of Asian values and beliefs to act as a bridge between the East and the West. At the same time apply best-practices from around the globe in the work that she does.
