Transitional Phase Support Services which focuses on mental health wellbeing including personal counselling, career transitions & academic career guidance, complex case management including suicide ideation and at-risk behaviours. Integral to the support processes we aim to work with the whole family as well as with individuals and couples. Sessions are uniquely tailored to the individual and together we design and develop personalised coping strategies. Strategies may include; liaising with schools, allied health and medical professionals to ensure a ‘wrap-around’ support system. This extends to also include case meetings, consultation, in-service training and professional development. Emily Rotta is a highly qualified counsellor with fourteen years of experience. In addition to her private practice, Emily has also worked in both the state and private education sectors. Emily is a member of the Australian Counselling Association, Career Development Association of Australia as well as the Australian Counselling Association of Supervisors. She provides specialist therapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Emily is a supportive and open-minded individual who has an empathetic and warm approach to her work. She has an extensive background working with complex trauma and uses an integrated approach that is client-directed and is tailored to meet the individual needs. Her counselling style involves a combination of various models that honour the individualism of the client. Emily works from a philosophy of understanding a person’s transitional stages through life and that their reactions to these transitions. Emily’s counselling environment has a relaxed yet professional atmosphere that has become a discrete oasis for her clients. She is committed to helping her clients understand their situation and equipping them with appropriate strategies to manage both the outcomes and their expectations. Emily incorporates various therapies within her sessions that are personalised to fit in with her particular clients. These therapies draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Family Systems, Sandplay Therapy, EMDR, EFT(Tapping) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), also known as Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT).
