I am an experienced mindfulness-based therapist and an ACA member with a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling, a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Certificate IV in Mental Health. I am also the Principal Counsellor and the founder of Bo Tree Counselling.

Hailing from a little island in Asia, - Sri Lanka and migrating to Australia at the age of 17, I have been fortunate to experience and apply both Western Evidence-Based wisdom and Eastern Holistic Body and Mind Wisdom. 

With over 25 years experience studying Buddhist psychotherapy and attending in-depth Buddhist meditation programmes in Australia, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, helped me find wisdom. Hence, placed me well to assist others gain the tranquility and skills to recognise emotions, recover, and grow as a compassionate human being.

I reside in Geelong with my husband and daughter. In my quiet time I love to read and do my meditation practice in solitude.

I believe that there is no happiness greater than the peaceful mind and we are made of two processes; physical process and mental process. Our mental process, or the monkey mind, is always either in the past or in the future, to tame this monkey we have to come to the present moment; now and here. To achieve any goal in life you have to have aspiration, effort, a conscious mind and insight investigation.
