Dr Bronwyn Robson
Bio and Qualifications:
Dr Bronwyn Robson is relatively new to the field of counselling, having graduated from her Master of Counselling degree at the University of Queensland in 2015. Since graduating from her counselling Master’s, she has been working as a student counsellor at the University of Queensland’s Student Services. Bronwyn has a background in laboratory research science and has a PhD in evolutionary genetics. She has always had a fascination with the co-evolution of human beings and dogs. As a dog owner herself, she is aware of the therapeutic effects that her own pets have on her life. Having spent many years as a student herself, she is also keenly aware of the stressors associated with tertiary education and has a passion for holistic well-being in the student population. This pilot program has allowed Dr Robson to combine her various fields of study and interest into a unique project that can further explore and support her passion for good student mental health.
