| Objective of Course / Workshop: | This training will allow you to draw together with like-minded therapists interested in the interconnection of spirituality and therapy. The training will focus on client healing and the interrelationship of great therapeutic outcomes when inclusive of spirituality. This workshop offers professional development accreditation with a view to further training in 2013. |
| Course / Workshop Outline: | Module 1 is conducted over 1 day with breaks for morning and afternoon tea, which will be provided and lunch, which can be purchased. The morning sessions begin at 9.00am and will include Definition of Spirituality and teaching on Your Spiritual Work Environment, followed by discussion. The afternoon session Recognizing Opportunities for Spirituality in your Therapeutic Work will be followed up with a practical workshop, and concludes at 4.30pm. |

| Course / Workshop content: | Eden Therapy Services has always specialised in the integration of therapeutic outcomes with spiritual processes. The content of the day is based on up to date current clinical practice using spirituality and therapeutic process. Dr Braid and other practitioners at Eden will demonstrate the viability of a spirit-driven private practice in this first stage of a 4-stage programme. |

| Experience: | Dr Rebecca Braid has practiced therapy for more than 28 years, with 20 of those years in private practice. Her initial degree is in Social Work. She has a Graduate Diploma in Couple and Family Therapy and a Masters degree in Couple and Family Therapy. Following her ground-breaking work exploring the link between Spirituality and Therapy Rebecca was awarded her PhD from LaTrobe University. She currently heads a team of therapists and professionals at a busy and unique private practice on the Northern Beaches, and offers a range of services to individuals, couples and families and victims of crime. Rebecca is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, an accredited Victims Compensation Therapist, Medicare approved and Workcover approved. |
